Every year in America alone, approximately 2.4 million weddings are performed, but before the ceremony actually happens, either the potential groom or the bride must pop the big question and propose marriage.

One of the scariest, yet most romantic and memorable moments in most people's lives is when they propose marriage (or get proposed to). Yet, upwards of 80 percent of engaged couples admit that the actual proposal was less romantic than they had envisioned it would be. While there are dozens, perhaps hundreds of books about planning a wedding and having a successful marriage, there are very few designed to bring the couples together in a romantic way and give them a head start, before any of the actual wedding and honeymoon planning takes place.

Will You Marry Me? Popping the Question with Romance and Style is a fun, up-beat and informative guide for the person planning to pop the big question - "Will you marry me?" The book combines information with humor and creativity, allowing the reader to tap their romantic side for this truly important event in their life.

This book includes:

  • Information to help the perspective groom (or bride) determine if they're really ready to get married and if the person they'd like to propose to is the right person for them to potentially spend the rest of their life with.
  • A buyer's guide to finding and purchasing the perfect diamond engagement ring.
  • Dozens of romantic, but somewhat traditional ideas about how to propose.
  • Dozens of extravagant and outrageous wedding proposal scenarios.
  • The pre-proposal check list, describing all of the things someone needs to do to make sure he/she doesn't forget anything when preparing to propose.
  • Help on deciding when to pop the question.
  • Preparing for a whirlwind of major life changes after the proposal. Assuming the proposal is accepted, this chapter will focus on how to tell friends and family about the engagement, plus outline what happens next - the major steps for planning the perfect wedding.
  • What happens if you get rejected? How to deal with this situation.

Will You Marry Me? Popping the Question with Romance and Style ($13.99 / 224-pages) is now available from bookstores everywhere of from Amazon.com or BN.com.

Every year in America , approximately 2.4 million weddings are performed, but before the ceremony actually happens, either the potential groom or soon-to-be bride must pop the big question and propose marriage.

Will You Marry Me? Popping The Question with Romance and Style is targeted to guys planning to pop the question to their girlfriends; women looking to propose to their boyfriends; and same-sex couples looking to formalize their relationship.

One of the scariest, yet most romantic and memorable moments in most peoples' lives is when they propose marriage (or get proposed to). Yet, upwards of 80 percent of engaged couples admit that their own actual proposal was less romantic than they had envisioned it would be.

To help readers create and execute the perfect proposal scenario, Rich offers the following five strategies:

Tip #1 - Once you've devised the perfect way to pop the question, put yourself in your girlfriend's shoes and consider exactly what she wants, expects and would consider romantic. Ask yourself what she would consider to be the perfect, most romantic and memorable marriage proposal possible. Will your idea live up to her expectations?

Tip #2 - Set your timeframe to propose. Will you propose on a specific date, in conjunction with a holiday or birthday, for example? Once you have a proposal date in mind, you also now have a deadline to meet in terms of making all of the necessary arrangements leading up to your proposal.

Tip #3 - Aside from you and your girlfriend, consider who will be present when you propose. Will you pop the question when you and your girlfriend are alone, or do you want friends, family and/or others to witness this exciting event? Make sure someone will have a camera on-hand to photograph or videotape your proposal.

Tip #4 - Focus on the specifics regarding how you'll pop the question. Consider what you plan to say and how you'll say it. Don't memorize a speech word-for-word, but develop a list of ideas, sentiments and/or emotions you'd like to convey to your girlfriend as you ask for her hand in marriage.

Tip #5 - Pay attention to detail as you plan your proposal. Once you know how and when you'll propose, and what type of scenario you'll create, proper planning is required to make sure every aspect of your scenario is well thought-out, coordinated and rehearsed. When the time comes to actually pop the question, you're going to be nervous. Being properly prepared will help insure nothing goes wrong.
